Shoo Mosquito Net FAQs
If you are worried about your baby getting mosquito or other bug bites while sleeping in SNOO, our Shoo mosquito net is the only baby-safe way to protect your newborn. Insect repellents are NOT recommended for children younger than 2 to 3 months old. Instead, you can use mosquito netting to protect your little one.
Yes! Once installed as directed, bassinet mosquito covers are 100% safe. Of course, it is imperative that you use a mosquito cover that is especially designed for your bassinet to ensure a safe and secure fit. Shoo is the only mosquito net that should be used with SNOO.
Yes! Shoo was specially designed for SNOO, providing a safe fit and maximum protection from pesky-and potentially dangerous—insects. Using any other mosquito netting on SNOO—like a canopy mosquito net, a mosquito net tent, or a so-called “universal” mosquito net for bassinets—is unsafe and not recommended.
Thanks to its lightweight and breathable mesh and slightly weighted edge, the Shoo mosquito net creates a well-fitted protective barrier around your little one, keeping mosquitos, flies, spiders, and other flying and crawling critters away from your precious bundle...and all without chemicals!
It is very easy to install Shoo! Our mosquito net comes in four pieces: two rods, a halo, and an attachment—plus fasteners. Simply twist the two rods together and attach them to the halo with a few more twists. Next, secure the attachment to SNOO’s base—at the opposite end of the power button. Once on, slide the rod-halo combo into the attachment, release the net, and stretch it around SNOO. Use the included fasteners to secure the net to the halo. (For more details, see our video how-to.)
While Shoo was not primarily designed to keep cats out of SNOO, we have heard from many customers that Shoo does a fantastic job deterring feline visitors! So while we cannot guarantee that your crafty cat cannot outsmart Shoo, know that numerous families have found it helpful for keeping family pets from climbing into SNOO!
Before using Shoo you’ll need to remove Sky Mobile in order to properly secure Shoo. However, Shoo can still be used with Low Legs or Leg Lifters!
